Beauty from the inside out with Feel’s Beauty Probiotic+

Table of contents

Here at Feel, we’re doing Beauty differently. We’ve focused on the most important aspects of beauty, with 11 powerful ingredients specifically combined to support your glow from the inside out.

Our Powerful Probiotics

Unlike other beauty supplements, Feel Beauty Probiotic+ contains expertly researched probiotics, with increasing evidence supporting the link between our gut and skin health. Our skin can be seen as a barometer of health: what is happening on the outside is reflective of what’s happening on the inside!

What is the Gut-Skin Connection?

The gut contains a complex collection of thousands of strains of bacteria and microbes, commonly known as the gut microbiome¹⁻². The gut is responsible for up to 70% of your immune system, as well as the metabolization of hormones, detoxifying enzymes, making neurotransmitters and neutralising pathogens³. The microbiome maintains homeostasis throughout the body, but has a significant impact on other organs, in particular the skin, if it becomes unbalanced.

Similar to those found in your gut, your skin microbiome works to protect you against pathogens which could affect your skin and overall health⁴⁻⁵. ‘Good’ skin bacteria can help to kill pathogenic bacteria, and plays a significant role in promoting skin health. Chronic inflammation, changes in the skin’s pH levels, and your diet (among other factors) can cause an imbalance in microbes, which can significantly disrupt your skin’s barrier function⁶. When your skin ecosystem becomes unbalanced, harmful bacteria and pathogens are more likely to slip past your skin’s barrier and cause infections and skin conditions⁶.

How can Probiotics support my skin health?

Probiotics are live bacteria that, when administered in viable forms and adequate amounts, confer benefits to human health⁷. Probiotics are most commonly recognised for their role in maintaining a healthy gut and digestive health, however, emerging research supports their contribution to whole-body health and wellbeing.

Oral probiotics have previously been found to help prevent and alleviate skin conditions, including eczema, acne, dry skin, and UV-induced skin damage⁸⁻⁹. Certain probiotics have also been found to boost the skin’s production of ceramides, or lipids (fats), that help to trap moisture in the skin and keep ‘bad’ bacteria levels in check⁹⁻¹⁰.

Feel Beauty Probiotic+ includes 3 potent probiotic strains: Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Lactobacillus acidophilus, providing 10 billion CFU guaranteed at expiry. Lactobacillus strains have been shown to have a positive effect on gut microbe balance and skin health, and may be helpful for skin conditions including atopic dermatitis, eczema, and acne¹¹.
Taking a probiotic supplement like Feel’s Beauty Probiotic+ is a great way to increase the quantity and diversity of gut bacteria, whilst effectively reducing the number of pathogenic bacteria, reducing the potential for dysbiosis and disruption¹².

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is an absolute must-have in your beauty routine, providing a range of amazing benefits, which is why we’ve included oral hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is an amazing ingredient for supporting both young and mature skin¹³ and is gentle enough to benefit even the most sensitive skin.
Hyaluronic Acid

This powerful molecule has the ability to support the structure of your skin and spread moisture to where it’s most needed¹⁴, essential for rejuvenating tired and dry skin. While the human body naturally produces hyaluronic acid, concentrations throughout the skin can be reduced by ageing, and hyaluronic acid degeneration can damage the structure of the skin, leaving it damaged and visibly wrinkled.

Why should I supplement with Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a popular ingredient in topical skincare, with many experts considering it an essential part of their beauty routine. However, hyaluronic acid molecules are actually too large to be absorbed through the surface of the skin, and cannot reach the deeper layers where it may be needed most¹⁵. When applied topically in creams or serums, hyaluronic acid is unable to improve your body’s natural stores, with minimal effect long-term.
We’ve included edible hyaluronic acid in our Beauty Probiotic+, as it has been shown to improve skin hydration, firmness, and smoothness, as well as reduce wrinkle depth¹⁶⁻¹⁷, due to its capacity to retain water and efficiently ‘plump’ up the skin.

How does Feel’s form of Hyaluronic Acid support my skin health?

Our form of hyaluronic acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, has a small molecular size which allows it to reach deeper layers of the skin where it is most needed, providing structural support and spreading moisture¹⁵. Sodium Hyaluronate is considered more stable and less prone to oxidation and has been found to have greater bioavailability when ingested orally¹⁸, making it the perfect addition to Feel Beauty. Its capacity to reach deep layers of the skin also helps to effectively increase the benefits of our other amazing ingredients¹⁹.

The best way to ensure you see great results is to ensure you’re taking Feel Beauty every day, to support consistent hyaluronic acid levels within your skin.

Our Amazing Botanicals

Feel Beauty Probiotic+ is formulated with 7 powerful botanicals, shown to have widespread benefits for hair, skin, and nail health.

How do botanicals protect my skin?

Botanicals are powerful, natural plant extracts that, when used correctly, can have amazing benefits for your skin, nail, and hair health.

Antioxidants effectively protect your body against the damaging effects of free radicals. Free radicals are generated as a result of chemical reactions within your body, as well as exposure to X-Rays, ozone, cigarette smoke, air pollutants, and even poor nutrition²⁰. Free radicals are unstable molecules which can cause damage to cells throughout your body and can contribute to the degradation of skin cells and hair follicles, triggering the formation of fine lines, wrinkles, unwanted pigmentation, unevenness in skin tone, and poor hair growth²⁰.

Avoiding exposure to free radicals is practically impossible, but providing your cells with a great supply of antioxidants may be the key to keeping them at bay. Antioxidants bind to free radicals, which prevents them from binding to healthy cells and damaging them²¹.

This is where our chosen botanicals really shine in enhancing your skin care routine. Ashwagandha²², Grape Seed²³, Alfalfa²⁴, Bilberry²⁵, and Pine Bark²⁶ are great natural sources of antioxidants, with the potential to protect against free radicals and fight and repair oxidative damage.
Botanicals

To provide your body with a consistent supply of antioxidants to promote your skin, hair, and nail health, ensure you’re taking your Feel Beauty Probiotic+ capsules every day.

Which botanicals support my hair and nail health?

Feel Beauty Probiotic+ is formulated with Bamboo, which provides a great natural source of silica, an essential trace mineral which provides amazing health and wellbeing benefits around the body²⁷. Silica is an essential component of collagen, necessary for smooth, strong, and supple connective tissue. Silica works to maintain healthy connective tissue production and repair in the body, promoting the health of hair, skin, and nails²⁸.

Silica helps to deliver essential nutrients to hair follicles²⁸, and has also been found to help prevent hair breakage²⁹ by helping to strengthen each strand. This can help to maintain hair quality, support hair elasticity, and reduce thinning.
Bamboo

As we age, the silica retention capacity of the body decreases, so supplementation may be necessary to ensure you maintain adequate levels.

How does Feel Beauty support my hormones?

We’ve included Alfalfa, a great source of phytoestrogens³⁰. Phytoestrogens help to support hormonal fluctuations within the body by mimicking the chemical composition of oestrogen and may help to support hormonal skin³¹, particularly significant during the menopausal transition.

How does Feel Beauty support skin pigmentation?

Grape Seed contains a powerful antioxidant called proanthocyanidin, known to even skin texture and aid healing³². Oral grape seed extract has been shown to improve the symptoms of melasma³³, hyperpigmentation of the skin, thanks to its vitamin E, vitamin C, and linoleic acid content.

How can I get the best out of Feel Beauty?

Unlike other supplements, Feel Beauty Probiotic+ seamlessly integrates into your daily self-care routine and can be taken alongside your other daily supplements.

Here are our top tips to help you get the most out of Feel Beauty:

  • Probiotics are time-sensitive - the longer they are stored, the less effective they are likely to be. That’s why we recommend taking your Feel Beauty capsules every day, and starting a fresh pack of Feel Beauty each month, to ensure the capsules you’re taking are at their most effective
  • The probiotics in Feel Beauty are ‘shelf stable’ which means they’re best stored at room temperature with no need for refrigeration.
  • Ensure you store your Feel Beauty capsules in a cool, dark place, and ensure that your pouch is completely sealed to maintain freshness.
  • Avoid storing your capsules in your bathroom, as the heat and humidity from your shower can damage the probiotics.
  • Feel Beauty should always be taken with or after food, as the harsh acidity of an empty stomach can decrease the efficacy of probiotics.
