How science made this possible?

A molecular reconstruction process called Cyclic Terpene Assembly (CTA) makes it all possible.

Using a solventless, centrifuge-based process, it’s possible to reconstruct limonene into cannabidiol (CBD) at the molecular level. Cyclic Terpene Assembly (CTA) takes citrus peels and transforms them into CBD without using chemicals or dangerous substances.

The endocannabinoid system

The endocannabinoid system is a natural system of endocrines, hormones, neurotransmitters, and neuroreceptors in the body that controls processes like inflammation, mental health, and the sensation of pain.

This system is mediated by endocannabinoids, which are naturally-occurring cannabinoids, but it can also be affected by phytocannabinoids, or plant-based cannabinoids originating outside the body.

Scientists are still discovering exactly how CBD works in the body, but we’ve identified the 5-HT1A and TRPV1 receptors as likely targets of this cannabinoid.

5-HT1A Activation

The 5-HT1A neuroreceptor (serotonin 1A receptor) is the most abundant serotonin receptor in the brain. While many educated consumers are aware that serotonin has a big impact on mood, this neurotransmitter is also responsible for a variety of other critical biological functions. CBD’s reported antipsychotic, antidepressant, and anxiolytic effects appear to be related to this cannabinoid’s agonistic, or activating, effects at the 5-HT1A receptors.

TRPV1 Activation

CBD is observed to bind to the TRPV1 receptors, which modulate the perception of pain, seizures, and perhaps most importantly, inflammation. Some scientists believe that inflammation contributes to the pathophysiology (process of development) for every type of disease, and interactions with the TRPV1 receptor would also explain the potent antiepileptic effects that CBD has been observed to exert.

But why Limonene?

As a substance, this chemical is found in the peels of citrus fruits and in other plants and it is also used to make medicine. In pharmaceuticals, limonene is added to help medicinal ointments and creams to penetrate the skin. Limonene belongs to a group of compounds known as terpenes. Limonene is extracted through hydrodistillation, a process in which fruit peels are soaked in water and heated until the volatile molecules are released via steam, condensed, and separated.

How to use

  1. Using the provided alcohol wipes, clean the area you wish to apply the patch to.
  2. Peel the clear plastic from the patch.
  3. Apply the patch to the cleaned area.
  4. Apply pressure to the patch for 30 seconds, pressing firmly against skin.

How it works

The CPatch is designed to give you a constant, controlled dose of CBD into the bloodstream every hour.

If you do not like the effects or sensations from the patch simply remove it and the CBD delivery will dissipate within 45-60 minutes.

Our time-release formula allows for you to use a patch over a 36hr time period.

You do not need to remember to dose with CBD regularly. Just put the patch on and go.

Precautions

Removing the patch may be painful. Do not apply the patch to sensitive areas, hairy areas, or areas containing tattoos.

Wear the patch for the entire duration of time listed on the package. If the patch is removed early, slowly peel from the corner at an angle.

Essential oils, exfoliants and water may help remove the patch easier. May cause skin irritation. If skin irritation occurs, remove the patch.

Lighter skin pigmentations and fast metabolisms may heighten delivery rates. After removal, effects will dissipate in about 45 to 60 minutes.

Store patches at room temperature and away from excess heat or moisture.
